A: Hi Antr, unfortunately I am not able to advise you on design preference for the 21 in. x 53 in. Unfinished Red Oak InvisiFrame Hidden Storage Sliding Door. It is your design discretion as to how you use or design the product but as listed it accommodates 16 in. x 48 in. glass or mirror. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you for shopping Home Depot!

Q:What does the rough opening measurements need to be?
by|Jan 5, 2016

Answer This Question
A: Thank you for your question!! This unit is designed to fit in a wall cavity with the sliding door exposed, based on the recessed dimension your rough opening should be anywhere from 1/4" - 1/2" bigger width and height. The actual recessed depth is 3-7/8" which fits into a standard depth wall cavity plus 1/2" depth drywall. The sliding door is just the frame only, no picture or mirror
