A:  I’m 140 lbs and I stood on it. It’s pretty sturdy.

A:  Yes, this can be used as a coffee table.

A:  A narrow coffee table, yes. It’s about an inch higher than a standard coffee table. It’s nice and sturdy. A very pretty bench.

A:  I used this for my entryway.

A:  I'm 6'5" 265 lbs. It holds me fine.

A:  I cannot give a specific number, but I can state that this is extremely well designed and built out of hardwoods, high quality! - in my opinion, it could support an average size adult if you were going to use it as a seat.

A:  This bench will easily support an average sized adult and maybe two, though I have never tried sitting side by side on it. It is very sturdy and went together easily. We stained ours.

A:  I really don't know and I did ask that question before and didn't get answer. It does seem very sturdy. I like the bench.

A:  It is 17", it is small but just what I wanted

A:  I use it as a coffee table. It is definitely a sturdy item. I would estimate it could hold up to 350 lbs. easily.

A:  The weight capacity is 500 lbs.

A:  Not sure what the specifications are for weight but seems very sturdy and should be able to hold 2 average weight adults. One caution; the base is not wide, front to back, so it could tend to tip if someone tried to slide it backward while sitting on it.

A:  I am going to make mine to fit, and match chairs.
