A: Hello Bill, this is Joel with Intermatic Tech Support. No, the DT620 is an INDOOR rated timer and is not meant to be outside. You will want to look at our DT200LT for an outdoor application. You can always call us at 815-675-7000 M-F 8am-4:30pm CST and speak with a live technician for questions and support.

Q:Will this product support a 1 1/2 horse power motor

Answer This Question
A: Depends on the start-up and running amperage of the motor. If either of the amperages are more that 15 amps each then no, it probably will not.

A: Thank you for your inquiry. Though it will work electrically, that timer is indoor rated. The better choice for outdoor would be DT200LT.

A: I use this timer and set the timer to use dawn and dusk times to turn on and off. First one lasted 16 years and worked great. Be sure to read directions carefully as I found them a little complicated but that maybe just me.

A: Hello Harvey,
The timer will provide 120v to the fan and will switch on/off at the set times simply providing power or cutting it off at the designated times. As long as the plug is the same and the voltage is 120v then it will be ok.
Thank you

A: Spec’s are
Output: 15A output, 1800 watts resistive.
Input: 102-132 VAC 60hz, 2.5w max
I use it outside for indirect lighting but unfamiliar with Dyson heat and cool fan requirements.

Q:Not that I need to, does this mean if you want the same programming every day or the week, you can program 28 on/off settings?

Answer This Question
A: Yes. You can set 28 different on/off times in a single day or spread over any/all 7 days. You can also set each day of the week differently. So you could turn it on and off 28 different times on 1 day. Or you could set 4 different times each of 7 days.

A: When you program this, if it’s the same schedule daily, you can select to do that schedule the ENTIRE week … you select the days to include. Then you use slots to as many one and offs you want for the day. You don’t have to use all of the 28 slots.

Q:how do I connect it to the fan

Answer This Question
A: What kind of fan are you looking to connect it to?
by|Jun 25, 2021
A: Clarence, Thank you for the question. This timer is a plug in version. Plug the timer into the outlet and plug the fan into the timer.
by|Jun 23, 2021
A: If the fan you needed connected is a ceiling fan controlled by a light switch, this product won’t work. You will need an in wall timer.
If it’s a floor fan, then it simply plugs into this unit like any other thing you’d control with a plug in timer of this type.
