A: There is a battery backup, but it is designed for emergency situations, and will not last very long.
For day-to-day use it should be plugged in. A regular extension cord is fine.

A: Yes, the siren SK626 can be linked to the dialer SK618. Please refer to page 14 on the SK618 instruction
and the SK626 instruction for details.
Once linked, arm and disarm the dialer SK618 will also arm and disarm the siren SK626 automatically.

A: It can be used as a stand alone siren using the included remote control. Or you can link up to 16 sensors from IDEAL SECURITY, and use the sensors to trigger the siren. It doesn't have smart phone app. It doesn't need wifi. You can find out more on our website.

A: You can connect (link) up to 16 sensors and remotes. Yes it can be used with 2 or more SK615. (Up to 16 of them). Alarm time: 30 seconds ON, 30 seconds OFF, for 4 cycles. This is not adjustable. You can disarm the siren when triggered to stop the cycle.

A: The SK626 should be protected from direct sunlight, rain, snow, and low temperature if installed outdoor. The backup batteries would be frozen if the siren is left outdoor below 5F (-15C). It should be powered with the included AC adapter all the time. The backup batteries would last only 2 weeks max if no AC power. Yes, there is a low battery indicator, the LED would flash when battery power is low. Check out the detail instruction on our website.
