Questions and Answers for Husky 1/4 in., 3/8 in. and 1/2 in. Drive Socket Set (200-Piece)

A:  That's what I paid for this set, $79.00 plus 11.5% tax. When I bought it, it was as a Black Friday Sale. Since they didn't sell out on black Friday, I purchased it a few days after. They had an over stock of these sets. If they bought the deal, down to 59.00? Means that they have an over-stock of them and they're willing to cut the price even more than what we paid for it. That's life! I'm sure that if we new that the price was going to go down? We would have waited, to buy the set. Some you win. Some you lose! That the art of doing business.....!

A:  I would guess it goes by supply. I have heard you can ask them to price match.

A:  it could be how the packaging looks , mine was very ruff and the sockets looked the same way in side

A:  Keep in mind that many of the sockets will come in the same size, but a different ratchet size. (Example: 1/4", 3/8", and/or 1/2" drives.) Some may come long, short, 6 point or 12 point sockets. If that's the case it's normal in a set like that. Look at the amount of sizes that are on the box, for each different size. Go to the store, with your receipt in hand and notify them of the problem. They should be able to help you with that issue.

A:  No! I don't think so, because it's a great set and buy.

A:  Yes, all 1/2" drive are 12pt. There are 6pt in the 3/8" and 1/4". This week I used the 32 mm (1/2" drive) to torque a wheel nut to 140 foot pounds. There were no issues with rounding over the corners of the nut.

A:  Yes, all 1/2" drive socket are 12 point.

A:  Yes! 34 short sockets and 24 deep sockets in 1/2" half of them would be SAE and the other half Metric. The 3/8" and 1/4" sockets come in both 6 and 12 point sockets. This is the best buy you can probably find, anywhere. The tools it doesn't have, you can find them at Home Depot in individual sets. The cost of tools from many tool makers are expensive. These came in at pennies to a dollar....

A:  You'll need 8 rails for SAE and 8 for metric. For each series, I got trays with 2 rails per tray and then two individual rails.

A:  I went with the socket organizers from Harbor Freight. 1/2, 3/8, and 1/4 in Metric and SAE. There is a separate set for Metric and SAE. It covered most of the sockets that I used most of the time. You still would need a few more organizers for the extra 12 point sockets in 3/8 and 1/4.

A:  I used 4 Osla socket organizers

A:  It depends how many sockets they will hold.

A:  I bought two 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 size organizers, one for SAE and one Metric. Harbor Freights had the best price.

A:  It does not come with the ratchet and the largest socket is 1/2".

A:  No ratchets, sockets only. Was very impressed with the amount and types. Haven't placed them in toolbox yet, not sure of largest size.

A:  Yes, there are skips and there are "extras" as compared to the labels printed on my socket tray organizers. Obviously, different organizers could be different. 1/2" Drive Deep: 20, 23, 24, 25, 27mm, 1 1/6", 1 1/8", 1 1/4". 1/2" Drive Standard: 23, 24mm. 3/8" Drive Deep: 6, 7, 20mm, 1/4", 15/16", 1". 3/8" Drive Standard: 20mm. 1/4" Drive Deep: 4.5, 5.5, 15mm, 5/8". 1/4" Drive Standard: 15mm, 5/8". Here are the extras that don't have a home in my organizers: 1/2" Drive Deep: 9mm. 1/2" Drive Standard: 9, 29, 30, 32mm, 1 3/16". 1/4" Drive Deep: 5/32". The 12pt standard 3/8" and 1/4" drive sets don't include the exact same sockets as the 6pt series.
