    Answer This Question

A:  Yes you can even though the directions supplied with the Hunter fans are so vague they just skip over important info as if everyone used these fans before. I wrote this question last night to which I myself am responding with the answer the following night after going to sleep late muttering foul things about Hunter, Home Depot all needlessly of course! I had drilled 4 tap-cons into the center of my lv.rm. ceiling to attach fan holding installation plate & was thinking what now when I could not make it work, stressed to say the least! After reading all negative comments on the fan site I was worse thinking noway it gets better but, The fan which I believe is beautiful until it became a useless ornament on my ceiling is now working & working great in every way ---whoa, excuse me its' not the same fan, I took that back & replaced it with identical one with hope it was defective--who knows for the problem was ----feel like a jerk saying this but need to if it helps anyone---fan will not work until light section is added because that is where control direction button is installed so fan had no idea what to do when remote was clicking away in some foreign tongue with no response!! By the way I read at least twice in this fan section that this fan needed its own on-off wall switch to operate, why---don't know but not true, if you have power you have fan--also yes people there is a dimmer switch on light if you hold light button in for few seconds it works just like my older Hunter fan & if you turn it off dim it turns back on dim, cool right? At least I did'nt say groovy, your right Im older than dirt! You know I didn't grow up with surrounded by high tech or even low tech so9 we do nmthe best we can if directions are available & cover all the bases like my last little complaint setting the on dip numbers the same on both the receiver & remote even though they have different methods & numbers in reversed order. Had a worker in HDepot show me by pulling out one of the little shiny metal tabs on remote & said there, now its' a zero----say what? Time to go folks have a good night but first its' okay to have a good chuckle on me!!!!!!!!
