A:  the lighting is CFL and is not interchangeable. It is also very dim. Forget reading by it. It lights up a room though barely. I don't use the light that often. The fan itself is wonderful. Quiet, efficient and powerful. I usually always have on the lowest speed. I use 24/7. I bought it for the price and the looks!

A:  We are extremely satisfied with the Hunter Sonic 52 fan. It comes with 2 LED lights, three fan speed, and remove control. I remember that the installation seemed more complex because of the slanted blades and it took two persons to install.

A:  Yes, would need to purchase a combination rheostat and light (duo) switch. The rheostat will control the fan speed and there will be a small toggle to control the light.

A:  Hello DB, Since the fan is not manufactured with pull chains, you will need to use the included remote control to operate the fan speeds and lighting. If you would like a wall control, you could purchase the (99375) model that has a wall control but you will not be able to install the receiver that comes with it. A:  The florescent bulb has two large pins at it's base that lock into the socket with a small right turn. So once you can get to the bulb, grab it and turn it left and it will drop out. As to removing the frosted glass cover, I would suggest a similar left turning motion and it should drop out.
