Answer This Question

A:  You don't need to pay for delivery and water hookup. Installation free w/o water hookup. Home Depot's website text is confusing on this issue.

by|Sep 24, 2019

A:  I bought this, and there is no need for the hookup.

A:  Hi Keith - The refrigerator is equipped for optional icemaker IM4D (sold separately). A water line is not required if you choose not to install the optional icemaker. Also, we do not recommend installing a refrigerator where temperatures will go below 60 degrees Fahrenheit. At this temperature, the unit is less efficient and will continue to lose efficiency as the outdoor temperature decreases. At 32 degrees, there is no cooling capability at all. Q:Will the Freezer Temperature reach 10 degrees below zero F?

          Answer This Question

A:  Hi Kris - The recommended freezer temperature is 0 degrees F. The Freezer section in a refrigerator should measure between -5 and +8 degrees Fahrenheit. Measuring the temperature can help determine if the refrigerator is working properly. Frequency of door openings plays a large role in maintaining proper freezer temperatures. Taking an air temperature reading would not be accurate because air temperatures fluctuate any time the door is opened. When taking a temperature measurement in the freezer section, use a bulb type or candy thermometer that is capable of measuring below zero degrees. Place the thermometer in between two packages of food that have been in the freezer for more than 24 hours on the middle shelf (or as close to the middle of the unit as possible) and leave it there for at least three minutes. Putting the thermometer in ice cream that has been in the freezer for at least 12 hours is the best way to check the temperature. Keep in touch! Sue

A:  Mine has only gotten down to about 4 above, but I'm afraid to try to get it any colder because I don't want to risk freezing things in the refrigerator compartment, because it has no separate freezer control.

When moving the refrigerator to clean, turn the leveling legs at each front corner of the refrigerator counterclockwise until the rollers support the refrigerator. A:  Hi RG- The refrigerator requires a 115 or 120 volt individual, properly grounded branch circuit with a 3 prong grounding type receptacle, protected by a 15 or 20 amp circuit breaker or time-delay fuse. Should be on a dedicated circuit. This is recommended for best performance and to prevent overloading house wiring circuits. The running amps and volts are listed on the refrigerator rating plate.
