Q:We have old asbestos linoleum on concrete slab in a high-rise. Since the old flooring is firmly adhered, can we glue the bamboo flooring directly to the old?

A:  Thank you for your question. The Wire Brushed Strand Woven Tobacco can be installed over a moisture sealing floor, such as terrazzo or ceramic tile. Gluing down a floor on top of an asbestos floor may not be advisable, as it will make it difficult to safely disassemble without chipping or cracking the asbestos. For a situation like this I would suggest looking at a floating floor instead. I would also advise learning the expert recommendations for working with asbestos.
