A:  Hello hotpersoot and thank you for your question. The Home Legend Teak Natural Solid Hardwood Flooring is beautiful! You may try to clean the area using a cleaner designed for use on hardwood floors; be sure there are no waxes or oils in the cleaner. Test in an inconspicuous location before cleaning the entire floor. You may find that the white film will go away over time (several weeks to months). If you see any peeling or obvious physical damage (such as warping), you will probably need to replace the affected area. Best wishes on your project.

A:  Unfortunately, we do not have any tried and tested solutions to the issue described. This product is finished with a water based polyurethane. Personal research can be conducted on possible “how-to's” This product is available and replacement of the area floor would be the only permanent solution.
