Q:Can Bamboo be used in a bathroom and or a laundry room?

Answer This Question
A: Yes, the strand woven click-lock flooring can go in a 'wet area', pertaining to any room with running water in its walls. You will have to fill the expansion gap with a water-repellent sealant or a caulk to seal it up from any major leaks/spills.

A: No. Installing this product on terrazzo (as a floating floor) would not void your warranty. Not placing down a moisture barrier underlayment, would, however.

Q:how well would this hold up in a kitchen?
by|Apr 25, 2012

Answer This Question
A: This flooring, being a strand-woven bamboo floor, will hold up well when comes to durability and indentation (with preventative maintenance, of course). Humidity/moisture exposure can be a problem, if major spills happen or if the humidity levels are not controlled (between 35% - 60% would be best). Other than that, the flooring should hold up well, in the condition you plan to put it in.

Answer This Question
A: Hello Chief and thank you for your question.
If you decide to nail it down your sub-floor plywood need to be tongue and groove 3/4 plywood. It is acceptable to glue it ON or ABOVE grade with underlayment - moisture barrier on top of the concrete.
Typically terazzo its smooth and it makes no play in gluing down process unless its textured which would prompt for plywood sub-floor.
Hope this helps,
George

A: The plywood base is recommended to be between 5/8" and 3/4" thick. We would not warranty a glue-down installation on terrazzo with this product; it can only be glued down to concrete.
