A:  Hey David, Yes, you can hardwire this lamp after taking the cord off, but you will need to do some extra work to ensure you do this safely. First, make sure where you are installing it in a wall-mounted junction box and that any wire is safely powering it up. Also, be sure that the back of the lamp has the proper crossbar and screws to fasten directly into the junction box. The wires can be cut leading from the lamp, all while making sure you have enough for the connection, as well as stripping the wires 3/4" back where the connections will take place. Joseph
