A:  Dipper, Unfortunately, the Home Decorators Collection Brexley Chestnut Entryway Bench is not available in any other sizes. I did find two similar items that are between 36"-42" wide.

A:  Unfortunately, they don't have this style in a smaller width.

A:  Not in this exact bench but if you search the homedepot.com website there are so many options. I am sure you could find one in the dimensions you are looking for. This bench is a little long for my entryway just by 1 1/2 inches. But you dont even notice it.

A:  The back is perfectly finished. Look at the ends you can see...same. You can put it free-standing, it is that well done.

A:  The back side of the bench of my bench is nicely finished the same as the front and sides. I would have no problem displaying the rear of the bench. It appears that the bench is made for this.

A:  The two "cubbies" are each approximately 21" wide X 14 1/2" high X 14 1/2" deep.

A:  I dont have the exact dimesions but it does fit one of those martha stewart cloth bins, the regular size with a couple extra inches on both sides. for a more exact answer i would think you could call they customer service number : Monday-Friday 1-877-803-3112

A:  I think you could, but consider two things: 1. The 1/4" back panel slides into "slots" (dadoes) cut into the top, bottom, and sides. These slots would show; 2. You would sacrifice some stability and rigidity. Depending on its use (or abuse), you might experience some racking over time, although the assembly with the provided hardware is very sound.

A:  Suni, The Home Decorators Collection Brexley Chestnut Entryway Bench will not be stable without the back panel attached. The back panel provides support for the bench seat. I do not recommend using this item without the back panel.

A:  I think you would be very disappointed if they did leave it open. the strength and beauty of the piece is in the cabinet...your version would be more a bench.

A:  It comes with the back attached although I am sure that once you bought it, you could remove the back of course it would be less stable then. You would need to add a wall support on both ends, which wouldnt be noticable because it would be inside the cabninet part. If you are up to a little elbow grease i am sure it is possible! Otherwise you could look online (homedepot.com) and find exactly what you are wanting without the elbow grease.
