A:  Purchase the next size up of rods. I bought this one and returned it because my window was 72" and that is the extent of the rod. It is worth the larger rod which makes it really sturdy. You only have to extend it but a couple inches, no sagging.

A:  I bought the 72" - 144" version. It comes with three rod pieces designed to be mated together and telescope for adjustment. Two rods are 1" diameter and one rod is slightly less than 1" diameter so that it telescopes with the other two rods.
