Q:What are the measurements? The mfr says “depth” is 67”. Depth to me is not length or width. I wish they’d get it right

A: 67” is across the back of the top of the cushion from seam corner to seam corner. Then 27” from top seam corner down armrest to next seam corner. About 24” from top seam corner to floor (I say about because mine drug the ground and I cut it off and hemed it).
My loveseat is a corner unit that is slightly round and from the back to the front of the cushion is 40” and this cover clears it and then some. Hope this helps.

A: The cover I have is 5 years old. It has been out in the Arizona sun the entire time. There is no cracking and it is still very pliable. I am guessing that if it can handle the extreme heat it will hold up in the cold. There are several things I like about this particular cover. It is light in weight and easy for me to put on alone. It also will be useable for several different things. I have used it to cover the love seat, 8 chairs stacked in two stacks, and to cover the giant bags I keep some of my patio cushions in. It really is very versatile.

Q:I have always understood that when referring to furniture width should be measured side to side and depth is front to back, while height is from the floor to the highest point of the item. How is it likely that a loveseat is 36 inches wide (side to side) and 67 inches from the front edge to the back?
I assume the descriptions come with the products, which means they come from out of country and have been written by people who do not have an adequate grasp of the English language. Knowing that, why don't you proofread these descriptions before you put them on the Home Depot website?

A: Anonymous I’m so with you! Measurements are length x width x depth and usually in that order depth is depth not length. Guess they missed that elementary school math class
