A: The trap arrives flat with a paper protecting the stick side. You remove the sticky paper and fold the sides into the slits provided that forms a rectangular box. Then place the trap where crickets are seen. The crickets go into the rectangular box and get stuck to the tape. These trap work very well.

A: The Harris Cricket Trap is designed to fold in order to achieve a covered sticky trap with openings at either end. Open the right and left sides and pre-fold on the pre-scored lines to achieve the cover prior to removing the paper from the sticky surface. The right and left sides have tabs that will meet and connect to form the cover. Once pre-folded then open and remove the protective paper. Return the top to the closed position. The trap is ready to use. Thank you. P.F. Harris

A: Actually i don’t make it into a box shape. I find leaving it open actually catches more crickets. They do work and it’s amazing how many it does catch.

A: I can imagine a determined cat getting a paw or nose stuck onto the sticky surface. The cat would go nuts trying to get free: it is very very sticky.

A: May not be safe around pets. The trap is made of heavy card stock weight and could come undone if a pet plays with it which would expose the pad with the insecticide. I don't know if the insecticide is harmful to animals though.
