Q:Where can I find a replacement ground stake? A neighborhood kid hit one with their bike and the stake broke in half.

Answer This Question

A:  Most of the stakes that come with these lights are plastic and fit inside the hollow shaft that the light is mounted on. Just remove the broken part of the plastic stake from the tube, then cut a 12" piece of 1/2" PVC pipe, drive it 6" into the ground, and then slip the tube over the upright PVC pipe. It will be stronger than the original stake that came with the light. This has worked well for me.

A:  Home Depot sells a universal replacement stake ...I believe comes in a 5 pack for like 5 dollars or so..This is just the sharp part that goes into the ground. if the shaft is damaged you may be better off just buying a new light.

A:  That's why I bought them - I liked the star pattern light. But, to each their own. I also put them by trees and bushes - you may be happier with them in other places?!

A:  At $5.00 each you may want to consider hiring an electrician/ handyman to run you permanent reliable hard wired option. More durable and cost of replacing this cheap option isn't cheap when you add up how many you need to buy then replace over time plus cost of batteries.
