A: The globe is about 3.5 inches across and 4 inches deep. The spike's total length is about 10 inches, which includes the pointed end that you push into the ground. IMPORTANT TIP: Before you push them into the ground, take duct tape or black electrical tape and tape the pointed spike part into the main stem -- or else when you move them, the pointed part will stay behind in the ground! Otherwise these are fantastic lights and I am getting more of them. I've had mine for over three years!
A: Hey! It's 4.33 inches in diameter and 15.62 inches(include ground stake) in height. Have a nice day!
A: That is an unknown as we installed ours about three months ago and the rechargeable units all seem to be working fine. The lamps all appear to be getting enough sunlight so the batteries are recharged fully usually. The lights remain on usually almost all night. They appear to be well-made and have some protection from the elements so I would suspect we will not have any serious problems.
A: Hello, With proper care, solar panels should last up to 5 years. Please let us know if you have any further questions. Thank you!
A: I have not brought them inside (changed lights or batteries) for the 3 years these solar lights have been on our lake dock. Lights not as bright but I see them even in the winter months-in MICHIGAN. BEST solar lights ever purchased !!!!
A: The are about 15" tall when installed. They put out a very nice light pattern.
A: 12" tall.
A: Once in the ground they stand 10-12" tall
A: About 10 inches,
A: The height above ground depends on how far you push them into the soil to have them be firmly in place. You would have to push them deeper if soil is soft or loose. My lights are 10 inches from ground to top, which is a good guide.
A: Yes, they are included.
A: Yes, recharged by sun during day.
A: Hello, Each light has one battery included.
A: Yes, I'm pretty sure they are: I bought them three years ago, and I am sure batteries were included, because I know I didn't have to buy them and put them in the lights. These are really top quality lights, they have a beautiful star pattern at night, and are very sturdy. I do recommend them!
A: Yes, it does.
A: They are solar! They don’t use batteries.

A: Mine have been out for almost three years in the most horrible weather you can imagine. TONS of rain, snow, sleet, fully exposed in my front and back yards. I have moved them around a bit, so I am very aware of their condition: AND so, NOT ONE bit of rust! Believe me, I am picky, and would be very precise about any issues with this product. I will just offer one suggestion: in a rural setting like mine, the cute little bottom spike components can easily remain in the ground and eventually get lost. I solved this problem with pounding 1/4 inch rebar into the ground, and using zip ties to fasten the lights to the metal stakes. But this product is absolutely superior to any other and I will be ordering more this year: I especially love the "starry" light images they throw after dark. You won't be disappointed!
A: Please see my recent answer. No rusting, ever!
A: No Rust, weed eater line will cause paint to chip on poles. Have post slid over a 1 ft rebar, have had lights for years....the solar panel gets cloudy after 4 or 5 years and won't charge good by solar. Love the lights, bought another case to replace ones that go bad. Tip.... Get extra solar batteries and a Duracell or Energizer plug in battery charger to charge batteries on Rainey or Cloudy days.
A: I have them 3 years.....no rust. Only issue seems to be battery replacement every 2 yrs.
A: Some of mine are going on 3yrs now. Down to about 25 left. 95% of them are holding up just fine. A few ended up with some rust but for the most part these lights are awesome. The rust on the few that expired was caused perhaps by some rain that seeped in through the solar panel. A few just wore out. I'm in Florida and the sun takes it's toll on the solar panels themselves. What I found that helps is spraying the solar collector panel on the top with WD 40 Spray and Stay Gel Lubricant or just WD 40 by itself like 3 times a year. The Globes are glass which I prefer as they don't yellow in the Florida sun like plastic ones do. My first purchase of these were from a store. Now they are only available online. A quality product in my opinion. Sorry for the lengthy reply to your short question.
A: NICd or Nickel Metal Solar Batteries at Home Depot in the Solar Lighting Aisle
A: Lufkin, you can buy batteries at of course Home Depot and other similar stores. Each light takes 1 battery (included) Replacements are usually found in the aisle with the solar lights. Rechargeable Solar batteries, they are the size of a Double A and are sold in both 2 packs for Lithium Ion and 4 packs for Nickel Cadmium. Although a little more expensive I prefer the Lithiums. And these lights, by the way are awesome. The globe is glass and wont yellow. Hope this helps!
A: No, wrong kind of setup. Just get them some sun and they will last most of the night.
A: You should not use regular AA batteries in this model.
A: I recharge the batteries in a Duracell battery charger when cloudy or raining. Work fine. Buy extra batteries and have them charged when needed is what I do.
A: I would say no to putting regular AA batteries in the lights, just as you wouldn't put them in a battery charger. The solar panels on the lights are designed to recharge the rechargeable nicad type. The amount of the daily charge it receives depends on the amount of daylight the panels receive, so if the lights are in shaded areas they might night store up as much power as ones that get more of the natural sunlight. This also determines how long the lights stay lit overnight.
A: I wish I could help you, but I don't know -- perhaps you can email the manufacturer or ask an electrician friend. I will confirm however that these are excellent lights. I bought them two years ago and they have been wonderful and very high quality. I hope you can find the answer!
