Q:We currently have 8.... 60 ' fans in our garage ( Hangar ) They are controlled by 1 light switch. Outdated and need replaced Will these work ?

Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question. Without knowing which switch you have, we can not answer with 100% accuracy. In general, if you have a commercial grade switch that is capable of handling the power load from the fan's, it should not be an issue. Please note that any switch used must be a variable speed switch, not a dimmer or rheostat switch.

A:  Thank you for your question. The fan has not been tested with that switch, but it should be able to be used instead of the included wall control.

Q:If using 2 fans and not using the wall switch, do you need 2 remotes?
        by|Nov 28, 2023

        Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question. If not using a switch, we would recommend using 2 remotes. Each fan would need a receiver installed and each remote and receiver pair should be set to a unique dip switch setting to ensure that each remote only controls the intended fan. It is possible to use one remote to control 2 fans if all of the dip switches are set the same, but that can lead to performance issues if the fans get out of sync.

Q:Can you give me instructions for a universal remote installation?

              Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question. The instructions will be included with the remote. If not, the instructions will be avialable on the product page online. For example, you can see the instructions for the universal remote installation (model # 98130) by downloading the instructions from the "additional resources" section of the product page online. Please note that with the Industrial fan, if using a universal remote, the fan should not be installed with the wall switch. In general, remote receivers should not be connected to any speed control switches.

                Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question. No, the included switches are designed to operate one fan. Connecting two fans can cause an overload and damage the switch. There are commercial grade wall switches available in the market. The Home Depot does not carry the commercial grade switches.
