Answer This Question
A: There is not an on/off button but there is a solar battery to replace, however, I have had these for several years and have not had to replace the solar battery yet.
by|Apr 5, 2022
A: Thank you for your question. There is not a power button on the lights. The battery can be replaced if needed. The top of the light housing twists off of the base to allow access to the battery compartment. You can see this in detail in the manual which is available for download from the "Info & Guides" section on the product page online.

A: They come on at night only
by|Sep 28, 2021
A: They run on solar, so they come on near dusk. Put them in an area where they will get sunlight during the day. They stay on until they use up their solar power or it becomes daylight.

A: Thank you for your question. Yes, the lights are auto on/off.
by|Sep 27, 2021
A: They are solar. So yes, they come on and they go off. No switch. These are the best!
by|Sep 27, 2021
A: They are solar. If you have had them in the sun (or the batteries are charged), the light will turn on when the sensor determines that it is dark "enough". If the batteries aren't charged, nothing happens. If the batteries are still going when the sun comes up, the light will turn off and the sun begins to charge them back up. If the batteries aren't enough to get through the night, then the light goes off at that point, and if the sun comes up again, battery charging begins anew.

Q:Can you remove the lantern from the post and place it on a picnic table or bring it indoors?

A: Absolutely you can.
One of the reasons I love these lights is because they are so versatile.
They have flat bottoms so they not only sit on a table they look really good doing it.
I have them on my deck sitting on the railing and they provide lots of light and they look really good.
When we have power failures I bring them and have more then enough light in my house.

A: yes, there's an o-ring on the top of the lantern that goes around the hook as attachment mechanism... lantern unit is made of cast iron, it will feel heavier than it looks but is sturdy in construction. Top portion (lid part) where sensor and solar charger is located can be rotated counter-clockwise to be removed from the rest of the unit (to access battery compartment and LED and lens assembly)
