A:  Thank you for your question. When installed With the straight post, the height would be about 16 inches. When installed with the Shepard's hook, the height would be about 27.25 inches.

A:  Each light comes with the parts to assemble it to a shepherd hook. Each light post can also be just in the ground, with the proper parts enclosed as well. The shepherd hook has a diameter of ...guessing...1/4 inch. I bought my own shepherd hooks, approx 5 feet high and used cable ties to hang the lights. Hoping that answers your question. We have them already the second year, take them in over the winter. Will add on as we go...happy thanksgiving!

A:  Thank you for your question. The lights ship with both options. The light ca either attach to the straight post, or can hang on the Shepard's hook. The stand for the Shepard.s hook does not insert into the post. The pieces connect and then attach to the stake.

A:  We only received the shepherd's hook with ours.  A straight pole was not included.

A:  Sorry, But I had intentions of using the lights but did not get them out to use. So, they are still in the box in my garage.

A:  I have several pairs of them some are many years old and they work pretty good, only thing that had to be done is to remove the insulator between battery and contact and then let the sun do the work. Good luck

A:  Thank you for your question. Prior to initial use, the battery tab should be removed from the battery compartment to allow the battery to connect. For optimal performance, the lights should be located in an area that receives full, direct sunlight for at least 8 hours per day. The lights should be allowed to charge for at least 8 hours in direct sunlight prior to initial use. Also, make sure the lights are located in an area that does not receive any light at night. If the lights do not turn on, please call Hampton Bay customer service at 1-855-HD-HAMPTON (1-855-434-2678) and one of the team members will be able to get more information to help troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
