A: Dear valued consumer, for the maximum light output, take your ceiling height and divide by 2. The housings should be placed that far apart. Example: 10 ft ceiling /2= 5 feet apart between housing install.

Q:Can I use a dimmable switch for these as long as the bulb is dimmable?

A: Dear valued consumer, yes, you can use a dimmer with this. Just ensure the dimmer you choose is rated for use with whatever lamp you are installing (incandescent, CFL, LED).

Q:I have a 3' X 3' X 7'1" shower stall. Can I use this trim there? Does it have a "damp" or "wet" rating (or neither?

A: Dear valued consumer, this trim is not wet location rated. See the 951 series of wet rated HALO trims on homedepot.com. Also, all of our RL4 series of LED retrofits are wet location rated.
