Q:i am looking for a 6 inch trim with the same "3 cat's paw springs" installation as this 4-inch model. I purchased this 4 in. satin white recessed ceiling light cone trim with specular reflector and need to purchase the 6 inch size to match. I tried the 426 model but it has the spring installation. What model do i need?

Answer This Question
A: Hi wendy, We are not aware of any 6-inch trims that have the paw springs. But, the 404C has friction clips that install on the housing plaster ring instead of torsion springs.

Q:How well will they work in a garage that will be cold during the winter months.

Answer This Question
A: Dear valued consumer, ss long as it’s not a wet-location area, the trim will be fine. If it is, you need to choose a trim that is rated for wet-locations. The lamp (or bulb) used is the issue. Incandescent R/Par lamps will work well, as they’re not affected by the colder temps. If an LED lamp is used, you need to be sure it’s rated for use in recessed housings. CFL lamps do not typically work well in cold environments.
