A:  Yes, there are 2 products in our family.... the 1st one puchased was over 1 year, still working great.

A:  I have several of them, and don't use them around my neck as much as I hang them from anything metal. Sometimes in hand holding them I will drop one and so far they keep working. Just watch that the protective clear cover over the LEDs doesn't unscrew, just add some tape, and enjoy these lights. I expect that they will last a long time, and the neoprene sleeves are durable and stay in place. None of the switches have failed either. I am surprised that I don't see more people using these, they are so handy in so many situations, and are more of a real tool than the much lighter smaller ones I have seen which are more for reading in bed. These are way more rugged.
