A:  Hello emrmcrn, Yes, most if not all laminate flooring requires some sort of underlayment. The 2-in-1 type underlayment is the minimum you must have, or you can go with the 3-in-1, which will provide the moisture barrier, sound reduction and cushioning and is thicker than the 2-in-1 type. Thanks for asking your question!

A:  This floor doesn't absolutely need "foam" underlayment. At a minimum, a moisture barrier should be installed, such as felt. I'm not clear on what products satisfy the warranty.

A:  In your case, no. There is no underlayment required by our warranty, in your situation. A floating floor underlayment is recommended, however.
