Questions and Answers for Sprite Showers High-Output Replacement Filter Cartridge

A:  The filter will work best with a slower flow like 2.5 or 2.0.

A:  I think it is not. But the shower head that goes with this filter cartridge is very inexpensive and you have to buy it only once. I hope somebody who knows with certainty responds to you.

A:  l was having trouble to, l,m weak. l had an old filter unit (in a white plastic unit). l unscrewed the unit off the shower ,n got it off the water spicket completely. l couldn,t open it either, too wet ,n hands slipped. l did use the old one ,n put new filter in. used plumbers tape so no leaks. didn,t over screw the thing on the wall so it would be better for me to replace in the future. After you get the filter unit off the shower pipe, you need two towels to unscrew the filter unit, or 1 towel on one end ,n bare hands to unscrew it. Or wait til it dries to unscrew both ends. Don,t need to screw unit too tight to begin with, thats the problem. not the unit.

A:  When I have had trouble unscrewing the filter housing I carefully opened it up using a pipe wrench. If you don't have this you might get a better grip on the filter housing by wearing a pair of rubber gloves.

A:  It's just a spot on the filter where you can write the date to replace the filter so you remember. Just replace it every year at the same time and you'll be fine.

Sprite makes to inserts, one for "slim line" filters that are about 1/3 the height of the one you show, and a high output model for all their high output filters.
