A:  It is not necessary, however, Cedar will turn a weather gray in color if left unfinished. We do offer a Cedar Garden Bed Oil Item# GBO-1Q. Its a blend of natural vegetable and citrus oils specifically designed for Cedar Garden Beds that enhances the natural beauty and depth of the wood grain.

A:  Buy a garden line and put on the bottom and a few inches up the sides. This will keep weeds out. No need to seal the wood.

A:  Cedar raised gardens don't need to be sealed. If you do seal it check the label of the sealer to see if it is safe for plants or veggies. Personally I would not seal the cedar. It's going to last longer than other woods.

A:  Needs about 14 cubic feet of soil. Best to check with local nursery for components - I was able to buy bagged soil/fertilizer/ etc. that was pre mixed for raised beds - saved much trouble on my part.

A:  Check with your local Home Depot store for soil recommendations for growing in your zone.
