          Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your interest in our Great Lakes Tin Hamilton Nail Up Ceiling Tile in Antique White! The surface area should be clean, dry, flat and structurally sound. Plywood or furring strip installation is recommended prior to nailing up tiles. If you choose not to cover your ceiling as recommended, we suggest applying adhesive to the back side of the tile during installation to provide additional holding strength. If you have any additional questions please feel free to reach out to our customer care team at 800.434.3750. Thanks again!

A:  Thank you for your interest in our Great Lakes tin Hamilton Nail Up Tin Ceiling Tile in Gloss White! We do not recommend using glue as your only way to adhere our tin tiles, as they are too heavy and may fall during installation. You can certainly use adhesive and as additional method of installation, but we do recommend using both nails and adhesive if you feel you need to use glue. If you have any additional questions please feel free to reach out to our customer care team at 800.434.3750. Thanks again!

A:  Hello Judy, You may be able to install these over popcorn ceiling but for the best install I would have it removed first. A flat surface makes it much easier to align and install the tiles. Also if you intend to use a combination of nails and adhesive you will have a much better bonding surface. I hope this helps. Cheers, Chris

A:  The clear coat makes the tile resistant to rust. It has a glossy finish, but retains the natural tin color. The manufacturer probably has a recommendation for painting them, perhaps the matte finish.

A:  Thank you for your interest in our Hamilton Nail-up Tin Ceiling Tile in Clear. Our Clear finished tiles are coated with a layer of protection, as opposed to our unfinished tiles that are susceptible to patina over time due to their exposure to elements. Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your interest in our Hamilton Nail-up Tin Ceiling Tile in Clear. We recommend using standard mild soap and water should be used to clean the tiles. Standard cleaning shouldn't wear the tiles over time, as they are manufactured with a powder paint finish. However, since they are a real tin product over an extended period of time the finish may be affected if too much water exposure or cleaning agents are used. If you have additional installation questions please feel free to reach out to our customer care team at 800.434.3750. Thanks again!

A:  Thank you for your great question! Yes, our Hamilton Nail-up Tin Ceiling Tile in Penny Vein. We do recommend being cautious with installing these panels in a bathroom. The finished tiles are coated with a protective layer to prevent weathering over time, however, through consistent exposure over an extended time period the panels may eventually start to show signs of weathering. A:  Thank you for your interest in our Hamilton Nail-up Tin Ceiling Tile in Copper. We do not recommend using our tin tiles in an outdoor application or in an area that is not temperature controlled. In addition, the panel is not warranited to withstand outdoor elements; such as rain and moisture, due to the nature of real tin material. If you have any additional installation questions please feel free to reach out to our customer care team at 800.434.3750. Thanks again!
