I used it for a kitchen backsplash. Very easy to nail up. Cutting with tin snips took a little practice. Beautiful product. Clear coat makes care easy. I received one less than I ordered. But luckily didn't need the extra.

The ceiling tiles are beautiful and easy to work with, the paint/color was very uniform throughout. I ended up cutting the border tiles on my table saw with a fine tooth blade and this worked great, nice straight lines. I needed to make a few cuts with tin snips that also worked ok. Helpful tip - I put these up on a white ceiling that already had wood crown molding, I bought a paint that matched the tiles and painted the ceiling edges so you couldn't see the while ceiling, this worked great.

These are very attractive tin tiles, and I suspect that they could make for a beautiful finished tin ceiling. Unfortunately, I will never know because there is a major issue if you are trying to install the Bronze Burst finish. I ordered these for my project and waited the extended lead time for them to arrive. I had forgotten the finishing nails that are needed to install them, so I jumped back on the Home Depot website only to find that oddly enough Home Depot did not have the matching finishing nails for this color. I called the manufacturer in Neenah, Wisconsin, Acoustic Ceiling Products (ACP), directly only to find out they do not manufacturer matching nails for their Bronze Burst products either. They recommended that I try to spray paint a matching color on some standard finishing nails or use their black nails, because "they would not show as much." Now I do not know about anyone else, but if I am going through the time and expense of hanging a high profile tin ceiling, then I am probably expecting people to see it and admire the craftsmanship and beauty more so than the average ceiling. The last thing I want is to screw up the job with some kludge work-around nails or black ones that will stick out like a sore thumb. For the life of me, I cannot understand this manufacturer's decision to avoid the inventory of Bronze Burst nails. Home Depot should be flagging this in their description, because I just lost several weeks for an inconceivable detail that now has me back to the drawing board looking at ACP's (and Home Depot's) competitors to find a company that has the common sense to understand that matching finishing nails for a tin ceiling are probably a good idea. What a disappointment! This could likely be a 5-star rating with proper nails, but I'll now generously give it two because if you cannot finish correctly, then there is no point at all.

For our Bronze Burst finish tiles we recommend using our Great Lakes Tine Decorative Ceiling Tile Nails in Black. We currently have our Decorative Ceiling Tiles Nails available in three colors to compliment all of our Great Lakes Tin Tile finishes; silver, copper, and black. You can also utilize any small finishing or decorative nail found at your local Home Depot location that matches closely in color to your tiles. In addition, you can have your local Home Depot location paint match the tile and use the paint to coat your unfinished decorative nails you can pick up at your store. All of these options provide a wide variety of choices for our customer's convenience. Our tiles give a stoic, old world feel to any room in your home with ease of installation that doesn't require you to pay contractor pricing. Again, we definitely apologize we do not manufacture the specific accessories you would like to complete your installation and if you are looking for additional suggestions to complete your project please visit your local Home Depot location or contact our customer care team at 800.434.3750.
