    Answer This Question

A:  No, it will not stick to these tiles.

A:  Thank you for your interest in our Great Lakes Tin Syracuse Nail Up Tin Ceiling Tile in Unfinished. While our tiles may hold some magnetic property we do not suggest hanging anything with weight on the panels themselves as it may not be supportive enough to hold. A typical refrigerator magnet would be fine as decor, but nothing of substantial weight would be warrantied to hold. Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your great question! Our Syracuse Nail-up Tin Ceiling Tile in Clear has a protective clear coating on the panel to help prevent any type of water damage that may age the tile over time. As compared to the unfinished tile, the clear tile has a water protective barrier on it which helps the tile keep it's original state in humid areas. However, due to the true nature of tin tiles, overtime any direct water contact could affect the tiles. If you have any additional product questions please feel free to contact our customer care team 800.434.3750. Thank you.

Q:Can this tile be used as a backsplash? Will it require an edge? Or will the edge be seamless on...

              Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your great questions! Yes, our Great Lakes Tin panels can be cut to use for backsplash. The tin panels can withstand heat up to 300 degrees F., making it a great decorative option behind or near most stoves. We recommend nailing the panels up instead of using adhesive for this application as the heat could soften the adhesive. Make sure your stove does not exceed 300 degrees at the tin tile location. Unfortunately we do not have smaller trim pieces available to go with our tiles do to the fact that they are primarily used for a ceiling installation. However, we do have 2 styles of crown molding available to coordinate with the tiles you choose to use. You can also visit your local Home Depot store and see if they do have other options available in trims that may coordinate well for you. If you have any additional questions please feel free to reach out to our customer care team at 800.434.3750. Thank you!
