A: These do not have a slit cut anywhere on the stakes. The top is a straight cut across. But it would be easy to use a hand tree saw to cut a slit in the top or sides.

No, these stakes are not slotted. If you use the “Caution Tape”, located in the Hardware Department, it will Stretch nicely over the state. That is what I used in my yard.

A: No , There is no slit in the edge. The edge is square without any cuts in it but you’ll be able to use it without any problems. Hammer the stakes in place, wrap the rope around the first stakes a couple of times while stretching it to the other stake, wrap around the second stake while stretching to the third and so on. Holds up nicely.
