A:  Hello hulkman, Thank you for your question on the RAC IV 619 tip. This tip would be too large for the ProX17. The largest tip size this unit will support is a .017, this correlates with the last two numbers on the tip. A:  Brian, The tip size depends on what material you are planning on spraying. The first number multiplied by 2 is the fan width. The last two numbers are the orifice size. The information for the recommended orifice size is on the back of the material can. A:  Hi Brian, There is a matrix (https://www.graco.com/us/en/homeowner/how-to-buy/tipselector.html) to use for each specific function of the sprayer, this includes, but limited to, the type of paint, the viscosity of the paint, the drying time, etc. It is best to go to the matrix on the Graco site to determine the best "guess" for what you will be doing for each job. Remember that in most cases you may need to thin out the paint, but never use water, HDX sells a Floetrol product that is great for this, just read instructions as to not exceed maximum additive. Please remember some of the sprayers are not recommended for oil based paints.

A:  Yes, it is designed for a 4 inch spray pattern. 211, 411 for eight inch. Works great with enamels.

A:  Hello, Depends on which waterbased material. .011 tip is good for stain and thinner materials. If spraying paint will need a .015 tip. This information can be verified on the back of the material can. Thank you, Graco Technical Service Group

A:  It is in the specs which models it works with. Mine is a Magnum model and it worked properly.

A:  Not familiar with all the models, but if your is a gun on the end of a hose then I suspect it will be the same. The packaging and online specs tell you what models of gun it fits.

A:  Rob, The first number multiplied by two gives you the fan width. The last two digits give you the orifice size. So, a 417 has a 8" fan with a .017 orifice size. The 515 would have a larger fan width at 10", but a smaller orifice at .015. So if moving from a 515 would be for a lot of interior paints, while the 417 and 517 could be used for thicker interior paints or for exterior paints. The 519 would more than likely be utilized with exterior paint. The best thing to do is see what the material you will be spraying advises on the back of the container for the orifice size. A:  .011 orifice may be a little small for unthinned latex paint. I would recommend a 215 or 315 tip. Thank you, Graco Technical Service Group

A:  Graco tips are designed to be used with Graco sprayers. It's possible this tip may work. Usually you'd also need to swap the tip guard along with the tip when using these on a competitor product. The threads for the guard would need to be 7/8" in order for it to fit correctly. Graco Technical Service
