A:  Yes, keep the cut square. I used a power circular saw with plywood blade reversed. It cut the aluminum track and copper conductors nicely. You'll wanna file the cut edge in/out. I had to cut the copper conductors ~1cm shorter to get the end caps on.

A:  The aluminum track also cuts easily with a fine blade hacksaw. I had cut-off enough that another mounting hole had to be drilled in the track.

A:  Yes, you can re size the rail on this fixture.
