A: The track simply passes voltage from your junction box in ceiling to each lamp head, which has a GU10 socket. Dimmability is determined by the bulbs you plug into the sockets, so buy bulbs that dim. Previous reply is saying track itself does not dim.

A: The track just passes voltage from your J-Box in ceiling to each lamp head, which have a GU10 socket. Dimmability is determined by bulbs you plug into the sockets, so BUY BULBS THAT DIM, <50W ea, LED or Incad. Robo-Reply says track itself does not dim?

A: I don't see why not. I have a track light that takes the same GU10/MR16 bulbs and LED GU10/MR16 are available in LED format.

A: The track just passes voltage from your J-Box in ceiling to each lamp head, which have GU10 sockets. Track doesn't know (or care) what kind of bulb is installed, LED or Halogen. Robo-Reply says track heads are approved for <=50W (max), so less is great!

A: You decide which GU10 MR16 bulbs to buy & install, LED or incadecent (just <50W each). The track & sockets simply passes the juice to the bulbs. Other “answers” are nonsense.

A: This unit uses (3) 50 watt MR16 / GU10 base bulbs 120-volt maximum. No other recommendation can be made.
