A:  Yes, you can install this light and center it, even tho the box is off-center. Unfortunately, the box is most likely off-center due to the vent pipe running behind the wall so you'll need to be careful not to drill into the pipe. I intend to buy this light and will install it off-set of the electrical box in the wall. You, or the electrician, will have to run the wires over until they connect to the wires in the box, then you will probably have to use one screw through the electrical box and a drywall anchor (for the other screw) in order to mount it to the wall.

A:  Hello Erin, the Blacksmith finish is a textured/raised black finish. You may get a better idea by looking at the product detail shot in the alternate images of the Perryton (model # 5215004-839). A:  Yes, the black plate is mottled but not heavily. It goes well with either rustic or contemporary decor.

A:  Ideally the box should be in the center but it can be installed if the box is off center. It just means that there may be a visual impact.

A:  Hello Rod, this includes a mounting plate for installation and 6.5" of wire. Field conditions (how much wire is in your box) would dictate this but you should be able to mount it off center if needed. A:  NO, the box does not have to be directly centered. My box was not centered, but the light wires were able to reach it no problem. You can always splice extra wire if needed. Really gorgeous light. Love it.

A:  That is part of the reason we bought this light -- because it would cover an off-center mount. We re-cut a hole for our electrical box because it wasn't center on our wall. There is a metal back that you slide the black decorative front on, so we cut a hole in the metal back and you'd never know that we were off center.

A:  The width of this product is 10".

A:  There is a very slight texture. Looks very nice.
