A: Hello Terry, the socket is rated for 1 Medium A19 100w Max bulb. The fixture is dimmable. You can use an LED equivalent bulb if desired but please note that not all LED bulbs dim should you choose to use one. For your convenience, this fixture is also sold with an included dimmable 3000K LED bulb (800 lumens) as model # 6190401EN3-715. Thank you for your interest in Sea Gull Lighting!

Q:I see the minimum hanging length is 14.5. Is this measurement to the bottom of the glass?

Answer This Question
A: I just installed this light hoping it was only 14.5"! The shortest I could make it was about 23". Fortunately, that worked OK in my entryway. It comes with three 1ft drop segments and one that is 6". You can configure the drop with any combination of these pieces, but the last one that attaches to the light fixture has to be one of the 12" pieces because of the threads. Also, if you mount on a sloped ceiling (as mine is) that adds an additional 2-3". If you could use only the 6" drop piece, and not mount on a sloped ceiling, then it would be about 14.5" to the bottom of the glass.
