A:  The base measures 5 3/8 inches in diameter.

A:  No, the battery pask is not replaceable. It is crafted to last for about 3 years, or roughly 1,000 charges.

A:  Leslie, yes it is metal (nice bronze color). And yes, there's a wire that runs from the mounting plate of the light to the solar panel. And of course the wires and solar panel are included. No special tools necessary to connect the wires. I had the same problem as you (no power supply to the light,) so this light worked out nicely. If given the proper amount of sunlight, it stays lit all night long with adequate brightness. I love it. I built my own custom post for it. See included pic.

A:  Yes Kat, a separate solar panel (along with a cord) comes with this light. There are no solar panels built into the light fixture itself. Incidentally, this is a great light. After a sunny day where the panel gets a lot of sun, it provides wonderful light all through the night until morning when the sensor turns it off for the day.
