A:  Hello - We can only confirm that this part is compatible with GE Appliances products. This filter was tested to withstand 500 PSI hydrostatic pressure and passed a cyclic pressure test which is 150 PSI applied 100,000 times. A:  Hi there - The GE In-Line Refrigerator/Icemaker Filter System is designed for use with refrigerators that don't have a built-in water filter. According to the installation instructions, the filter is to be inserted (spliced) into the 1/4” OD supply tube that feeds water to the refrigerator. Reverse osmosis systems are some of the best water filters for fluoride. A reverse osmosis system can remove 90 – 99% of fluoride in water.
