Q:What is the difference between the FXWSC and the FXUSC?
Thanks in advance!

Answer This Question
A: The FXWSC filter is a string wound filter rated at 10u whereas the FXUSC filter is a spun molded filter rated at 30-50u. Therefore the WSC filter will filter better but reduce the flow rate more and probably require replacement sooner.

A: The FXWSC is string wound, the FXUSC is a hard-body filter (looks like a foam core).
I had used the FXUSC until I could no longer get them, and HD gave me the FXWSC instead. While they work, they don't appear to last quite as long, nor filter quite as well.

A: The nominal particulate reduction for model FXUSC is 30-50 micron and for FXWSC 10 microns.
