A: Hi JB - These are manufactured globally. GE Appliances products are designed by GE Appliances engineers in the United States. Many are manufactured in the U.S. and others are made globally to our specifications. The country of origin is shown on the Model/Serial rating plate as well as the packaging. Manufacturing facilities (plant sites, where appliances are made) can and do change from time to time because GE Appliances continues to seek the most efficient manufacturing processes available. We make products all over the world for a Global marketplace. Therefore, your best source for manufacturing location is the packaging/product itself. Keep in touch! Sue

A: Hi Bernard - There is no difference in the FXWSC and the FXWSC (rev. 2). For a period of time, a different vendor produced the FXWSC. This is the reason for the rev. 2. The correct filter is the FXWSC. Thanks for choosing GE! Sue

A: I couldn't find a reference for the FXWSC rev 2 that you mention. Kept reverting to a FXUSC. ... ??? I might suspect it's the micron particle size that it filters.

A: Hi Kristi- Fits most 10" whole house drop in style filter systems from major brands including GE, Culligan, Dupont, Brita, Whirlpool and others. If it is a 10" is should fit. We suggest to check with the manufacturer. SUE@GEA

A: Not sure. I've had my filter unit for some time and have bought many different brands. I've only come across one, Culligan, that did not fit. I would take my old filter into the store and just match it up. They are all about the same length and diameter, the only difference I have seen (20 years) is in the diameter of the central hole. Make sure you match up the micron (the tightness of the filtering material) level as well. Good Luck!
