    Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for reaching out to us! These wheels do not have a locking feature; therefore, we recommend making sure the rollers are positioned on the floor. If you continue to experience issues, you may want to consider using appliance slides. We hope this information helps; however, if you need additional assistance, please know that you can always contact us! Wishing you well – Matthew@GEA

A:  If you have the model with the touch panel, the thermostat controls are on the Freezer and Fridge buttons. Touching either button once will display the therm settings. You can raise or lower the temp for each one by pressing the buttons. It also tells you how to activate Turbo Freeze and Turbo Chill.

Q:I have this product since 4/2018. When opening the freezer the gasket separates from freezer door. Has anyone else experienced this. Of course the warranty has expired. It's really frustrating with the high cost and repairs needed so soon.

            Answer This Question

A:  Hi Amy, thanks for reaching out. We're sorry to hear about your gasket. We would recommend inspecting the gasket for any tears or damage. If you find any, the gasket would need to be replaced to make sure that no cold air is escaping from your freezer. We would also recommend to clean your gasket as this may help too. Also check to make sure that the gasket is fully seated into the door. If part of it is loose, this may be why you're seeing it come off with a door opening. If you continue to have issues, we would recommend a service appointment to have this issue further investigated. We hope that this helps! Stay safe.

Q:The large bottom drawer in the refrigerator is freezing my food. Is there an adjustment I can try?

              Answer This Question

A:  Hi Sally - Oh no! Thanks for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear items in the lower drawer are freezing and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. This model has a Climate Zone drawer, which does not allow you to change the temperature. It provides a different humidity level than the rest of the refrigerator. First, check the controls to make sure the refrigerator is set to the proper temperature. We suggest 37 degrees Fahrenheit for the refrigerator and 0 degrees Fahrenheit for the freezer. Food load is an important factor. The drawers and compartment should ideally be 1/2 full or more. Freezing occurs when the refrigerator does not have enough food to absorb the cold air. If the refrigerator temperature sensor is blocked, it may not be able to correctly sense temperature to control cooling. The temperature sensor is located at the top of the refrigerator, on the ceiling above the top shelf. The sensor looks like a dome with slats. Move items so there is 6 inches of clearance around the sensor. If this does not help, service may be required. For service, please schedule an appointment with GE Appliances Factory Service at GEAppliances.com. We hope this is helpful. Keep in touch! Sue

A:  Is this a serious question and not a joke? Sally, of course the large bottom drawer is freezing your food. It's the freezer. Or did you forget to put in the word "not", because you meant to write the large bottom drawer is NOT freezing your food? Seeing how it's the freezer, that WOULD be a problem.
