A: yes, you just remove the outlet cover screw and remove the cover if you want, don't have to, and plug the 6-way in like a cord. then tighten the screw, about 1 min.
A: Hi Eddie, thank you for your question. Our GE 6-Outlet Wall Plug Adapter is designed to be plugged directly into the wall outlet. If you have any further questions, please feel free to give us a call between the hours of 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM Central Standard Time, Monday through Friday at 1-800-654-8483. Thank you.
A: Both work great, but if you need surge protection then get the one with the resettable circuit button. If you are connecting a computer or TV then you should get the one with the circuit breaker button.
A: YES
A: Yes, there is. This is great for keeping your deodorizer and motion detector lights plugs in place while being able to use more power as needed. I bought 4 of these!
A: Yes, the tap comes with an extra long screw to replace a regular short one that fits through a hole in the center and usually just keeps the receptacle cover plate on. I don't use that screw since I've got the tap on a GFCI receptacle - the kind with a built-in circuit breaker and red and white buttons in the middle (the cover plate for that type of receptacle uses two screws on the top and bottom). However, even without using the longer screw, the tap usually stays in place and doesn't fall out. I just need to be careful whenever I am pulling out a plug, by holding the tap with my other hand.
A: Yes, there is a screw in the center to keep it from pulling out of the wall.
A: Yes, it does come with a screw.
A: yes
A: Hi JO, thank you for your question. Yes, our GE 6-Outlet Grounded Tap comes with a center mounting screw for permanent installation. If you have any further questions, please feel free to respond or give us a call between the hours of 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM Central Standard Time, Monday thru Friday at 1-800-654-8483. Thank you.
A: Yes, however you are still limited by the ampacity of the original circuit.
A: That would depend on your wire size and breaker for the outlet.
A: Jamay, yes. This adapter is nothing more than an extension of a duplex wall outlet(2 outlets) which now offers six outlets. As always be sure not to overload the circuit because you have more connections available.
A: Yes, as long as your total output needed is 15 amps or less. There is another adapter similar to this one but has a built in circuit breaker. It is only a buck or two more dollars.
A: Of course. This will have no bearing on the surge protector, as those will work independently of this and hopefully stop the surge before it reaches the outlet.
A: I do believe that it was made in China; but it works great. I got mine to go behind my chair where I sit so I can charge my laptop and phone and not have to get up and go plug them up elsewhere. Absolutely love it.
A: China.
A: Hello Patriot, thank you for your question. This item is manufactured in China. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to respond or give us call between the hours of 7:00AM – 8:00PM Central Standard Time, Monday thru Friday at 1-800-654-8483. Thank you.
A: This item is made in China.

A: No, This item will not help. You need individual plug-ins that are connected to your main circuit breaker box.
A: I am a homeowner, a retired non-electrical engineer. Consequently, you cannot take this as an authoritative answer. Per your question, I am presuming that your dryer has an electric heating element (not gas fired). That heating element is a large power draw, compared to either the washer or the small water heater. Potentially, all three loads could be drawing power simultaneously, and that total could be substantial. However, there is no reason that this 110 V, 6-outlet tap, should not be suitable for the duty you describe. Rather, your question should be: is the household circuit, that you propose to use, rated for the combination of these loads? My experience is that an electric dryer is typically on a separate 240 V circuit; possibly this lower-voltage dryer is for an apartment application.
A: Hello NF, thank you for your question. No, this item is not rated to be used for washer, dryer and water heaters. This product is rated up to 125VAC, 15A, 1875W. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to respond or give us call between the hours of 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM Central Standard Time, Monday thru Friday at 1-800-654-8483. Thank you.
A: This is a 15 amp (or 1875 watt MAX device. That means it sould only be used in a circuit that is protected with a 15 amp fuse or breaker. You will have to look at the total number of amps or watts to confirm if you can safely use this adapter.
A: No.
A: NO! It is for 115 volt, 15 or 20 amp circuit. This does not create any power, it only adds a way to plug in multiple devices such as phone and laptop chargers, desk light, electric pencil sharpener . It saves having to unplug all the time to use a different appliance or tool.
A: As long as the three devices do not exceed the 15 or 20 amp circuit this adapter is connected to it should be ok. If the water heater is all electric I would advise against doing this.
A: No, This item will not support the power of a washer, dryer and 50 gallon water heater, which may be upto 15 AMP.
A: It's your circut breakers that will or will not support whatever you plug in. Not the outlet.
A: The outlet adapter has an electrical rating of 15 Amp and 1875 Watt. You will need to look at the appliances you are connecting and see what your max draw is for those appliances. Do not exceed the rating on your appliances.
A: Hello Alpha0727, thank you for your question. This item is rated for indoor use. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to respond or give us call between the hours of 7:00AM – 8:00PM Central Standard Time, Monday thru Friday at 1-800-654-8483. Thank you.
A: Yes, it can be used on any receptacle in your house or garage.
A: For obvious reasons this 6 outlet tap cannot be used to plug into a GFCI outlet. Because it would cover over the “test” and “reset” buttons. It could be used in a regular duplex outlet as long as the duplex is protected on the load side of a GFCI. Hope this helps you.
A: I don't know for sure, but it should on the package proper areas to use it
A: Yes
A: It can be used anywhere you have a regular two-prong outlet.
A: It can be used in your garage. I used an earlier "model" in my garage, and it worked well. If, however, this product is made by GE, I would advise you not to buy it. The first "models" were made of good, hard plastic; they were wonderful; they were made by a manufacturer other than GE. Since I liked the first outlets, I purchased more during the past few months. The plastic is now soft, the screw that is supposed to hold the outlet tight against the wall doesn't hold it well at all, and the screw stripped out the plastic.
A: Hello Paulbsa, great question. If the tap exceeds more than 6 outlets, then it will require to have two plugs. This product has been tested and meet UL safety requirements. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to respond or give us call between the hours of 7:00AM – 8:00PM Central Standard Time, Monday thru Friday at 1-800-654-8483. Thank you, Jasco Products Tech Support (Manufacturer).
A: It isn't really needed. Either of the two receptacles of a Duplex Receptacle is capable of delivering the entire 15 amps that circuit is designed, built, and protected for. So you only need to plug into one of them to get the 15 Amps you will then split with up to 6 devices as opposed to the 2 in the Duplex Receptacle. I've seen them with two plugs, but never saw a two plug one that had six or looked like much more than junk. These ones are pretty nice for what they are, and the price.
A: It's UL LISTED. CURRENT TAP. No. B 48708088 It also reads on the bottom line of the holographic sticker, 0033850K5 Copyright 2013 UL LLC
A: Hi Krissy, great question! This device is UL listed GE1752-71W. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to respond or contact our Customer Support through phone or email. Thank you, Jasco Products Tech Support.
A: It has a UL symbol on the back lower RH corner of the card. Not sure which number you need. Rated for 1875 watts total but fits a 15 amp receptacle.
A: It's UL listed. #B 88679071
A: No
A: Hello LAP, great question! This tap does not offer surge protection.
