    Answer This Question

A:  Hi Lizzie-this is Sue from GE Appliances. Thanks for your interest! The oven does not require special venting. While a vent hood is not required by GE, it is recommended. Vents help to effectively remove smoke, grease, odors and moisture from the room. We do suggest to check local codes for any venting requirements. Thanks for checking with us!

A:  No- it cannot. And the oven works poorly. Be warned

A:  No this is just a conventional gas stove/oven. I do have a convection microwave. However, I am not a fan of convection cooking. I do like cooking with gas. Since we live in a rural setting, I cook with propane.

A:  I Don't believe this particular model has the convection ability.

Q:What is the height of the stove surface?

        Answer This Question

A:  Hello, This is Joyce from GE. I will be happy to help. Over the range microwaves require 66 inches from the top of the microwave to the floor. As long as this is met you will be fine. The distance from the top of the burners to the top surface of the grate is approximately 1.5”. The height will vary slightly (+/- .2”) depending on the burner. The height of the grate is designed to provide optimal heating while also maintaining burner efficiency and safety. Note: If the burner seems to be cooking too slow when using larger cookware, using a lid will decrease cooking time or the time to reach a boil. Thanks so much for checking with us. Have a good day!
