Answer This Question

A:  Hi Lenny-this Sue from GE Appliances. We are excited to hear of your interest in our RightHeight Design Front Load Washer! Yes, this model features a PreWash option. Prewash is an extra wash before the main wash. Use it for heavily soiled clothes or for clothes with a care label that recommends prewashing before washing. PreWash must be selected prior to pressing Start. The PreWash feature will fill the washer (adding the prewash detergent), tumble the clothes, drain and spin. Then the washer will run the selected wash cycle. Thanks for checking with us!

      Answer This Question

A:  Hi Abacus-this is Sue from GE Appliances. We are excited to hear of your interest! The "RightHeight" models are designed with a 7" built-in pedestal that allows you easier access to your laundry without the added expense of buying separate pedestals for your washer and dryer. The added height puts your clothes within easy reach, plus you can use the top of the washer as a folding surface. The factory-installed pedestal is part of the design and cannot be removed for use without it. This can affect installation of the washer and dryer. These models cannot be stacked. They can be installed under-counter, side-by-side, and built-in. Thanks for checking with us!

A:  I don't think so...the built in pedestal would make the unit too tall.

A:  Hi Elly-this is Sue from GE Appliances. We are excited to hear of your interest! This model features an Add a Garment button. If you need to add a garment after the cycle has started, press the Add a Garment button and the unit will unlock the door, allowing additional garments. The Add a Garment feature is only available when the LED is lit on the button. After a certain point in the cycle, the LED will not be lit any longer and adding a garment is not allowed. It also features a Start/Pause button. Press to start a wash cycle. If the washer is running, pressing it once will pause the washer and unlock the door. It will take a few seconds for the door to unlock after pressing Pause. Press again to restart the wash cycle. If the washer is paused and the cycle is not restarted within 15 minutes, the current wash cycle will be cancelled. In some cycles the washer will drain first, then unlock the door when it is paused. A:  No. They are not designed to be stacked. Also the pedestals are part of the machines and can not be detached. However, the attached pedestals add 7" to each machine and raises it to a decent height for unloading the clothes. I am 5'8" and it's a good height for me.
