Q:will this generator run a full electric home with electric heat
by|Oct 4, 2011

Answer This Question

A:  Greetings hazey, My name is Tom, also known as HD116 at Home Depot's How to Community. I saw your question had gone unanswered and wanted to let you know that an all electric home with electric heat may need more capability than this particular model could provide. A single heat strip alone can take up to 10,000 watts, and some systems have two. I would suggest that you contact GE directly and allow one of their generator experts determine which model would be appropriate for your unique situation. They have free consultations available by calling 888-575-8226. Hope that helps.
