    A:  It will not work on this pipe since it does not have a constant supply of water. They only work on charged water lines.

      A:  No it will not. It is made specifically for charged water lines that are not exposed to rain or sleet or snow. A roof cable run inside and down the downspout works fine.

        A:  This cable will not work on discharge lines like this. They are made to keep charged water lines from freezing.

          A:  Ridgid is conduit for electrical cables and not water. The cable will not work on this.

            Q:I bought a hot tub with this cable wrapped around the internal plumbing. I assume the last owner installed it because it doesn't look like something that was done from a factory. Is it safe to leave installed on PVC pipes?

            A:  It is safe for PVC water lines. It is not safe if it spiral wrapped around the pipes. In order for this cable to work properly on pressurized water lines, it needs to secured parallel to the water line.
