I purchased the Frost King heat tape to put around the water hose for my camper. With the artic blast we just had, it worked perfect. My water going into the camper never froze up. I highly recommend this product.

We do not normally get really cold weather for very long in Texas. 2021 decided to go against the norm and send us weather usually reserved for Canada. We go the Frost King 24 ft heating wire to keep our pipes from ever freezing again. When the next winter weather freeze comes along we will be ready for it. I have used Frost King's pipe heating wires before and they work great.

I returned this cable the same day it came in. I ordered the wrong type. A self regulating (limiting)type cable is the only way to go. This is a fixed output wattage type cable. Much like a hot water heater element will burn out if you operate it without water to remove the heat a fixed output cable is more likely to burn out if you for instance cross the cable on itself so that it is touching. Or if the pipe does not have water in it to help remove the heat from the cable. Anyway you get the idea in that a fixed output cable is short lived and expected to last at best for only 3 years, while a self regulating type cable can last over 10 years. So I returned this cable and purchased a self regulating type cable and installed it. No fault of this brand of cable or HD, just not the best type of cable to use.

Bought to make a RV winter hose. Put on a 25ft hose and had 2 extra feet. More like a 26ft cable.
