A: Yes it can be. There is however, a Storm door bottom that would work much more effectively that is made by Frost King and THD has that product in the store or it can be ordered on line.

Answer This Question
A: The #1 reason tape does not stick, is because as we state in the instructions, the surface needs to be clean, grease free and dry. Dirt and household kitchen grease are enemies of adhesive sticking properly

Q:Would this provide a waterproof seal under the edge of an exterior threshold? Versus silicone caulk?

Answer This Question
A: No, it isn't a closed cell foam product. It would help to minimize moisture intrusion but it isn't a water proofing product and is meant to seal against drafts and air leakage.

A: Nothing is 'waterproof'...not even a submarine.
But seriously, I use this on exterior casement and slider windows where I needed to fill the gap where the window meets the frame. It has been in place for well over a year. It's still flexible, adhesive holds and rubber seals well. Works well for my application.

A: I got it to fill a gap for cosmetic look only, not really as a waterproof seal

A: I do not think that it would serve as a waterproofing sealant. The caulk that you mention is a better choice for that application.

Q:Is there a smaller size of the ribbed strip. This one does not really compress to 1/8", at least not without force on the door. Need one same width, but not as thick.

A: In response to the D-profile answer - does this D-profile strip not need to be separated? Meaning it is a "double" strip, but all of the photos suggest the double strip is separated. I need something about 7/16" to 9/16" wide. Thank you.

A: We do make a D-profile that might work for you.

Answer This Question
A: I believe this can work, but you might need to use some super glue with it as the adhesive back might not be strong enough with the heat coming from the attic.

A: This product should work fine. It really depends on the size of gap you have to seal.
