A:  I buy a lot of appliances from Home Depot. Most of their appliances are shipped directly from the manufacturer to a local delivery company. I think it is annoying and does not make sense to me either. My suggestion to you is to try and buy something else to get your total high enough for free store delivery. I buy appliances in sets, so I have do not have to past the extra fee. The last time I ordered this same dishwasher alone. I ended up buying from Sears. It was the same price and I was able to pick up at the store for free.
