A:  MikeZ The size of the frame kit depends on the size of the opening. In my case the previous micro was larger so I had to get the 30" trim to cover the original cutout

A:  I'm not sure what you by "bottom/exhaust duct". This microwave is designed to be used as a counter top or built in unit. It sits flat on the counter with the standard little rubber feet. I used the built-in trim kit (MWTK27KB) to install it in my existing cabinet. The trim kit came with a shelf to set the microwave on in the cabinet to center it in the opening.
